After you register you receive a verification email. If you do not receive the code check in your spam email folder if not contact us for assistance.

After posting your ad our moderation team will review carefully if the ad meets our standards; a proper title, a clear description of what you are selling, the price matches the item, and images match what you are selling.

Approval time for business hours is up to a max of 2 hours and outside working hours up to 8 hours excluding weekends.

Once your advert is live, you will receive a notification email from us.

If your advert is rejected, you will receive a notification from us with the reason why. Please edit your ad and re-submit it for approval.

All your adverts will be in your Seller Menu { Draft , Awaiting Approval, Online, Expired, Offline, Rejected}.

Users shall comply with all applicable laws, the Terms of Use, and all posted Platform rules and policies.

Here is a non-exhaustive list of goods and services promotion of which is prohibited on AutoDeal in Kenya:

1. Narcotics, steroids, and any drugs or medications that require a prescription from a licensed medical specialist

13. Products (goods or services) prohibited to sell by the law, in particular:

• • Food, processed food, water, soft drinks, spirit drinks, medical devices, drugs, drug products, cosmetics, chemicals, agrochemicals, pesticides, veterinary drugs or other goods if they have not been registered with the relevant authority of the Republic of Kenya;
  • Any goods, sale, distribution or advertising of which is banned or restricted by the relevant authority of the Republic of Kenya;
  • Any goods, sale, distribution or advertising of which is prohibited by applicable legislation of the Republic of Kenya;
  • Any goods that do not comply with standards and quality requirements imposed on such goods by applicable legislation of the Republic of Kenya; or
  • Any goods that are represented on the label or described as a treatment, preventative or cure for diseases, disorders or abnormal physical states specified by applicable legislation of the Republic of Kenya.

Remember that people are afraid of sending prepayments so we strongly recommend not to request them. Find a way to collaborate with delivery services that allow buyers to pay after they inspect the product and make sure it's what they want.

3.Stay in touch

Don't make potential buyers wait for your replies too long. Instead, be online or use Boost Packages to always get SMS notifications on new messages.

4.Pay attention to your rating

Feel free to ask your customers to leave feedback about their experience with you — the more positive reviews you have, the higher your chances to attract more buyers.

Currently, SokoDeal does not offer direct delivery services. However, we encourage buyers and sellers to make arrangements for delivery or pickup directly.

Yes! You can list services in categories such as education, home improvement, professional consulting, and more. Just be sure to provide clear details about the service you're offering.

1. Add a precise title for each advert;
2. Make sure you add a brief and clear description without any false information;
3. Every advert should contain unique images taken by you without any contact information or watermarks;
4. Make sure you choose an appropriate category. Be attentive to selecting categories for jobs and CVs. Employers should choose 'Jobs" category for posting vacancies, while job seekers should choose 'Seeking Work CVs". If you mention the wrong category, we may reject your ad;
5. The prices of your items must correspond to the actual prices of similar products;
6. Indicate correct contact details so that your potential customers can reach you easily. Try to respond to all the incoming calls or call back your customers once it's possible;
7. All posted products and services must be located in Kenya;
8. All items and products must be legally permitted (you can check the list of prohibited items
9. Publish all items for sale separately. There is a rule: “1 ad = 1 item”;
10. Create different adverts. If the ads are identical, we consider them duplicates and may reject them.

Basic listings are free! However, we offer premium listings with additional visibility options. Premium ads may incur a small fee to help boost your item’s visibility.

Yes! You can edit or delete any of your active listings by logging into your account and navigating to your dashboard. From there, you can manage your ads and make changes as needed.

SokoDeal encourages secure transactions through trusted methods. For in-person transactions, we recommend cash on delivery or meeting in a safe, public location. For larger transactions, consider using bank transfers or mobile payment platforms.

Please note: SokoDeal does not process payments, and all transactions are made directly between buyers and sellers. Be cautious and protect your personal information.

Yes, if you come across an inappropriate, misleading, or suspicious ad, you can report it directly by clicking on the "Report" button found on the listing page. Our team will review the report and take appropriate action.

Use the search bar at the top of the homepage to enter keywords or browse by categories. You can filter results by location, price range, and item condition to find exactly what you’re looking for.

To list an item for sale:

1. Log in to your account.
2. Click on "Place an Ad" or "Sell an Item."
3. Choose the category of your item (e.g., Electronics, Vehicles, Property, etc.).
4. Add detailed information, upload photos, and set your price.
5. Click "Post" to make your listing live.

You can always edit or delete your ad through your account dashboard.
